Planning an Evening Session at Manyata

Manyata Tech Park sits in north Bengaluru, off the Outer Ring Road near Hebbal and Nagawara, and is one of the city's largest office campuses. That location shapes how evening pickleball works here. Many players come straight from their desks, so sessions tend to fill quickly once offices empty. Arriving a little early gives you time to change, warm up and get your name onto the rotation before the busiest stretch.

Getting there and back

Traffic around the Outer Ring Road and the Hebbal flyover can be heavy at peak hours, especially on weekdays. If you are coming from outside the campus, allow extra travel time. Cab and auto drop-offs at the campus gates are common, but entry rules for visitors can vary by building and security policy. Check in advance whether you need an employee pass, a guest registration or an invitation from someone who works on site.

What to bring

  • Non-marking court shoes: running shoes give poor lateral support on hard courts.
  • Water and electrolytes: Bengaluru evenings are mild, but humidity during the monsoon months can catch players out.
  • Your own paddle, if you have one. Loaners are not always available. Our paddle guide can help if you are choosing your first.
  • A light layer for the cooler hours after sunset between November and February.

Open-play etiquette

Corporate open play usually runs on a paddle-stacking or queue system. Waiting players line up for the next available court, and winners and losers rotate so everyone gets games. Call the score clearly before each serve, and make line calls on your own side generously. Mixing skill levels is part of the appeal, so stronger players are encouraged to keep rallies friendly when partnered with beginners. During monsoon season, outdoor surfaces can stay slippery after rain, so wait until the court is properly dry before playing.

If evening open play gets you hooked, the next step is structured competition. See our leagues for team formats, or browse other venues across the city if Manyata is not convenient on a particular day.
